Our Services

A Wide Range of Eye Care Services for the Whole Family

At Look Eye Care we offer services that cover everything your family may need for optimal eye health. Our eye doctors offer comprehensive eye exams, management and treatment of ocular diseases and eye emergencies. We see patients starting at 6 months of age. We’d love to take a Look at your eyes!

Comprehensive Eye Exams

We offer comprehensive eye examinations for optimal vision and eye health. Adults between 19-65 with no ongoing health concerns are recommended to have eye exams every two years. Adults over 65 are recommended to have annual eye exams.

Routine testing includes: vision testing, binocular vision testing, ocular health testing, glaucoma screening (no air puff) and retinal imaging.

Our experienced eye doctors provide management of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts

Children's Eye Exams

Manitoba Health covers all children eye exams until their 19th birthday

The Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends that babies have their first eye examination between six and nine months of age. The next visit should be between 2-5 years old. After starting school, annual eye exams are recommended.

Our friendly doctors are well experienced with children of all ages.

We are able to test for eye and muscle movements and alignment, nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, eye movement and eye health – even without talking!

Diabetic Eye Exams

Patients with diabetes require yearly eye exams. Unstable blood glucose levels can cause unstable/blurry vision, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts and glaucoma. Early detection and management of diabetic eye disease can help avoid vision loss or blindness.

Annual dilated fundus examinations are recommended for all patients with diabetes.

Additional testing such as retinal imaging and Optical Coherence Testing (OCT) may be required and are offered in office.

Eye Emergencies

We are usually able to see patients same day for urgencies such as:

  • Red eye/eye infection

  • Eye injury

  • Sudden onset of flashes or floaters

  • Sudden vision loss
